AquaTarp is spray-on, solvent-free water and surfactant-based emulsion of latex polymer.
It is specifically designed for easy application onto roads and exposed materials experiencing dust and/or erosion issues.
Once it has been sprayed on, AquaTarp produces a crusting effect that creates a surface seal which exhibits extremely good wind and water erosion resistance whilst also preventing dust particles from being emitted into the atmosphere as well as sediment run-off with less wet-weather delays due to faster surface drying times.
Product Overview
AquaTarp is a solvent-free, water and surfactant based dispersion of styrene copolymer latex specifically formulated to provide enhanced soil binding and dust suppression properties.
When used as a spray-on solution it will bind fine particles together and reduce dust emissions and material loss on stockpiles, dumps, rail wagons and other exposed surfaces.
For optimal results it can also be established into the wearing course layer of a road, lay down or hardstand area to provide stabilisation and water-proofing of the surface.

How to apply AquaTarp
AquaTarp is a highly versatile product designed for ease of use, requiring no specialised equipment for handling or application. It is applied using a water cart, typically diluted with water in varying concentrations. This process creates a light coating on surfaces, effectively preventing dust.
Once applied, AquaTarp significantly reduces the need for frequent reapplication. Compared to traditional methods of spraying untreated water to manage dust on exposed areas, AquaTarp dramatically lowers water consumption and minimises water cart operating hours.
Delivered in a convenient, concentrated liquid form, AquaTarp is ready to use. Dilution rates typically range from 2.5% to 20%, depending on the specific application requirements.
What is AquaTarp?
How does AquaTarp work?
What are the primary advantages of using AquaTarp?
- Operational Efficiency: Significantly diminishes dust emissions, leading to better visibility and safer working conditions.
- Cost Reduction: Decreases water usage for dust control, thereby reducing the frequency of water applications and associated labour costs.
- Environmental Conservation: Lowers sediment run-off and surface erosion, safeguarding nearby water systems and lessening environmental impact.
What distinguishes AquaTarp from other products?
How is AquaTarp applied?
AquaTarp is applied using standard equipment such as water carts or hand sprayers. It's typically diluted in water at concentrations ranging from 2.5% to 20%, depending on specific requirements. Application rates vary based on desired longevity:
- Long Term (up to 12 months): 1000 L per hectare (10,000 m²)
- Medium Term (up to 3 months): 700 L per hectare
- Short Term (up to 1 month): 400 L per hectare
What equipment is necessary for application?
No specialised equipment is required. AquaTarp can be applied using standard water carts or hand sprayers, making it versatile and easy to integrate into existing operations.
