HydroWet is a concentrated surfactant specially formulated to improve the effectiveness of water droplet contact by reducing surface tension.
The addition of HydroWet to water helps to reduce the surface tension of water droplets, which enhances dust control by enabling water to better penetrate and bind the road-base.
Product Overview
HydroWet is a surfactant (also known as a wetting agent) and has been formulated to reduce the surface tension of water when used for dust suppression.
Ratio feeding surfactants to water sprays in dust suppression systems for material processing and transfer points softens the water by enhancing the attraction of treated water molecules to the dust particles and increases the water droplets’ performance. Dust particles are therefore less susceptible to becoming and remaining airborne. The presence of acrylic matter in the product binds exposed materials and dust together to prevent particles from becoming airborne.

How does HydroWet work?
HydroWet is an extremely versatile product that is easy to handle and apply without any specialised equipment required. It can be applied with a watercart or hand sprayer.
It is typically diluted in water and applied at a concentration of 0.03% through to 0.1% as required depending on the specific requirement.
It HydroWet can be used on temporary roads or materials handling transfer points to improve the wetting of exposed surfaces and material; therefore enhancing the effectiveness of water as a dust suppressant and extending the intervals between needing to re-water material. It can also be used as a pre-wetting agent to improve the penetration of more permanent dust suppression products.

Full Service
In addition to having a full time project supervisor on site, Dust-A-Side can also supply clients with required assets and personnel such as trucks, water carts, graders, suppression equipment and operators. Telemetry, consulting, project management and reporting are available with a Full Service package.
Managed Service
A full time project supervisor from Dust-A-Side will attend site to oversee the delivery and implementation of all dust control solutions, utilising the clients existing assets (e.g. water carts). The project supervisor will provide further support through telemetry, consulting, project management and reporting in order to help clients achieve the most efficient and cost effective outcomes possible
Remote Supervision
One of our project supervisors can visit your site at agreed upon times in order to provide telemetry, consulting and reporting. We’ll evaluate the effectiveness of the solutions and products we’ve provided and make recommendations to improve efficiency.
Supply Only
Binder products can be supplied in bulk or via intermediate bulk containers. Dust-A-Side will advise clients on how much of the product to apply and how often. Clients then apply the products using their own equipment.
Rental
Dust control equipment such as fog cannons can be rented as required and clients can manage the operation of the equipment.
